Lets go starbucks.
The hols are finally here..And its camp again for me..This time its my church's youth camp..It was tiring like all camps,but definitely fun and unforgettable,like all camps too. Hehex XD
Well, here goes..The day before the camp, Nicolette and her friend, Hakim Ann Leong(Yes, he's a boy) came from Singapore and stayed at my place for the night before camp the next day. So, I had to do some last minute packing up..Well, I would rather call it hiding up..(stuffing all my unpresentable stuff somewhere into the cupboard and forgetting about them until I need them some day)..hee..=p
So, we, or rather I woke up early in the morning about 7, there wasnt even time for breakfast as everybody was suppose to meet in my house at 7.30 am.And we were abit late, especially cuz we had 2 wait for Miss Michelle to take her shower while my mum was "honking" at her door.So, finally we got on the bus and we reached our campsite which is Sungai Klah, Hot Springs (Perak). So sori Michelle, but I just HAD 2 write dis down..On d way 2 d campsite, Hakim suddenly called 2 Michelle....
Hakim:Michelle!Michelle!Michelle:Huh?Hakim: Hey Michelle I think your zip is openMichelle(goes all red n starts acting like nothings happenin): Oh..Charis:HahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahMichelle(tilts head and covers her zipper with jacket): Stop laughin!!Hakim(turns around n looks at us): You better check!Charis(laughs even more till out of breath to say anythin)*chuckle *chuckle * Sorriii... XDWe started by pitching our tents..haha..that was a real sight..Imagine all of us city folks meddling around with the ropes looking simply ridiculous..My tent was harder to pitch because one of d poles snapped..But lotsa thanks to d boys who so kindy exchanged tents with us..=) Thx Ah Wei n Soon n 1 mor 4 got ady..sorry..hehex.. So after orientation, we had jungle trekking and it was raining..It was the first time I trekked in the rain, but it was kinda fun though..hee..There was 1 part where we had to cross a river with a rope and the current was so strong. Thank gudness for the rope, or I'll be swept away by the current..
But the worst part of all is the LEECHES!! OMG!! There were so many of them, especially since it started raining. There was 1 climbing up my socks and even 1 in my shoe..So you can imagine all the screamin and d commotion..Wow..But I pity Jia Yi and Nicolette, there were leeches all over their legs and it all the blood was flowing..N I seriously am so sorry I had 2 pour all the salt away..I was just too panicky..T.T Sori..so sorry..
After we came back, exhausted, we got to go to the hot spring for a dip!!Yay!! hehex =P The water in the hotspring was so relaxing..especially at the end, as it was seriously burning hot!! So syok!! hee.. After that, we had to go and bathe...But the problem was, the girls bathroom had no water..Oh great!! So, with Hakim's help, Nicolette, Michelle, Wen Shi and I had 2 sneak into d guys bathroom to take our bath..haha..N d worse thing was, I got caught by Aaron =P..haha..nt that bad la..at least it wasnt one of the visitors at the Hot Spring Park, as the toilet is actually a public toilet..
After that, we had a night walk in the palm oil estate..pitch darkness..except for the stars, we werent allowed to turn our torches on until the guide allows us to...It was creepy at first and we had to hold on to each other in a row. Then, suddenly everyone, well just some of the girls in front including me, started shouting..My leg just felt so painful I couldnt walk..We switched on our torches and guess what..We actually walked across some fire ants..OMG! It's stinger was still stuck in my foot!!But poor Wen Shi had about 3 or 4 bites that she could hardly walk. So, after that, the guide allowed us to turn on our torches just in case...It was quite fun, especially when we're suppose to just keep quiet and listen to the nature..so nice..=)
After we came back, we had some free time and of course Nerds, what every CDC camp cannot lack..(For those of you who dont know, its a card game, nt those ppl who studies like mad[nt talkin abt me either]) But, unfortunately, the crave for Maggie Mee was too powerful that it overcame the Nerd Bug, and every1 headed 2 the Maggie Mee..haha.. It was so cold when we went to bed.But can u imagine 2 of the boys, Ah Wei n Hakim actually slept outside their tents..I hv no idea how they could handle the cold..I would hv froze 2 death there..
